An old home for new beginnings.
Built from the remains of a country hotel from the early 20th century, Baxter's has been a caretaker of friends, families, artists, thinkers and anyone who enjoys following the arc of the sun.
Here is a place for you to slow. down. time.
Breathe fresh air.
And just be.
Baxter Lodge is a three bedroom homestead with warm brick floors and 18ft hardwood ceilings for big hearts, and big ideas, ideal for weekends or longer stays for couples, groups and families.
The wrap around North facing deck can sit 2 or 10 depending on your lust for life, and look out over a native garden lined by an impossibly tall forest with pathways and grass lawns for big and little feet to explore and share secrets in the shade of avocado and citrus trees.
Here is a place for you to explore large truths, with the knowledge that your secrets are safe within its walls. A place for friends, lovers and solo romantics to savour company and solitude, while relishing the delicate gift of time.

With a Queen bed, dresser & garden windows, there’s something special about this room. Maybe you can tell us.
Third bedroom

*Yes we can sleep 6 people + a portacot for a small seventh, however regardless if you’re a couple or group, your booking gives you exclusive use of the house and grounds.
Baxter’s is perfectly moody. Light and dark. Day or night. There’s always a place for you and yours.
The Baxter neighbourhood
Boasting one of the best views on the entire Blackall range, MPH has recently changed hands (friends of ours!) and is now one of the destination eateries of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Book in for happy hour and stay for the sunset (and the food).
Located at the local primary school and run by 4 amateur astronomers who, via booking a private tour, will gladly show you the night sky. Clouds permitting ofcourse.
A 5 minute drive or a 15 minute bike ride will take you, literally, to the end of the road where the Mapleton falls, fall. A loop walk is closeby too for longer nature bathing.
A little further...
